in the window at a flat shop vol. 7: 14/09/22 - 18/09/2022

hello! this week the last wintery windows at a flat shop frome street. yes, you might say, winter ended two weeks ago. but we mark the seasons around our seasonal events, and ‘spring 2022 at a flat shop’ is on sunday, september 18 (blog post coming about that in the next couple of days). but in the week before ‘spring’, it seemed appropriate to squeeze in one last set of winter windows at a flat shop frome street. the first (the bigger window) is below:

on the left, a fleece-lined bomber jacket from yohji yamamoto line y’s for living (fleece lined! especially winter-y), worn with a soft divider cross body window bag (“mesh softly divides the world”, as they say), and a wrap skirt and/or blanket by zucca (a blanket! That’s rather winter appropriate). and yes, those are words for types of camping equipment (STOVE, PILLOW, THROW, EMERGENCY WHISTLE, FIRE STARTER, PARACORD, TARP, LANTERN, DUTCH OVEN, TORCH, etc) on the skirt, very meta. and now for the second outfit: a thick, dense, heavyish weight (which is to say, warm, very wintery!) wool-acrylic blazer by comme des garcons homme, worn over a textured shirt by issey miyake men, and tailored wool trousers by byblos (unlined and summer-weight, though, perhaps the least winter-y of the garments featured this week).

and in the second, smaller window, this outfit:

it’s a ripper if you ask me (which you might have, or might not have). but it being a ripper or not doesn’t really describe it, so to get specific: it’s a multi-pocket coat with thinsulate padding by issey miyake fete, worn on top of a (shocking pink!) mohair and acrylic turtleneck by robe de chambre comme des garcons. both of these are very winter appropriate, and therefore make for an appropriate finish to this blog post about the final wintery window at a flat shop frome street (for 2022, at least).
