in the window at a flat shop vol. 4: 23/08/22 - 28/08/22

This week’s window selections at 58 frome street feel quite tonal: grey, brown, grey-brown, muted blue, hints of white and bits of black. in the big window, you’ll find this:

on the left, a jumper dress (??) with extra sleeves, or maybe it’s a scarf neck with cuffs on the end (??)? describing it is a little confusing but a couple of things i feel confident about: it’s by maison martin margiela, and it’s listed for sale here. on the right, an outfit i’d describe as ‘more tailored’: a cotton patchwork blazer by comme des garcons homme, a white shirt by anrealage, and a pair of plaid trousers by y’s yohji yamamoto. happy to have caught that walker mid stride in the background of the picture.

so that’s the big window, and in the little one, this:

happy to have caught another pedestrian in the background - as you can see there are people walking about all over the place! or at least up and/or down or down and/or up frome street! speaking of up (we were also speaking of down obviously but let’s pretend not because it doesn’t provide the same neat segue), the garments hung up in the little window: a knitted wool zip jacket by junya watanabe, and a long, balloon-y skirt from IS sunao kuwahara.
